Building Skills

In the course of over twenty years, we have built up a portfolio of skills that enable us to work across six core operational areas:

Residential

Working with private developers, we have a large number of housing projects in hand, both complete and under development, with locations that reflect their high quality nature. They range from high specification single dwellings to large scale developments. This scheme comprises 200 units of detached, semi detached and town houses targeted at the mid to upper property market.

The return to city centre living has brought about demand for high quality apartments in Belfast. Our operational flexibility means that we can develop a diverse range of apartment types, from bespoke £1million luxury accommodation in Adelaide Street, to high end, bijou six unit schemes and aspirational developments such as our 80+ mid-market apartment scheme at Fane Street.

Industrial

Northern Ireland ’s industrial base demands access to high quality manufacturing and warehousing units that are sufficiently flexible to adapt to changing needs and uses. MSM’s fast track development approach means we excel at meeting this need quickly and cost effectively. Such schemes include a 45,000sq ft CD plant in Omagh and a Call Centre in Strabane.

Commercial

Time is of the essence when meeting the needs of our commercial customers and our fast track approach allows us to achieve this. In addition commercial units must combine high quality with low maintenance. All of these requirements are embodied in the 60,000sq ft unit we have constructed for B&Q, as well as in retail schemes for Xtravision and at our office complexes in Belfast.

Civil Engineering

With both founding partners trained civil engineers, it is little wonder that this is an area in which we have particular expertise. It embraces high profile projects, such as bridge construction and upgrading at Banbridge/Castewellan, and it literally underpins many of our current works in the form of complex piling systems.

Specialist

By their very nature, some jobs require skills and approaches that lie outside the remit of most construction companies. We take pride in handling projects at which others balk. Examples of these include the provision of specialist clean rooms for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, a suite of nanotechnology units for a university and sensitive restoration work undertaken on listed buildings throughout Northern Ireland.
