MSM achieving our CCS ‘Environmental’ targets

MSM are currently working on two sites which are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS). This is a UK-wide initiative that seeks to commit sites and companies registered with the Scheme to:

– Care about appearance

– Respect the community

– Protect the environment

– Secure everyone’s safety

– Value their workforce

The two sites are (i) the £1.5m Saintfield High School project to construct a new three-court indoor sports hall over covered car parking at ground level and (ii) the £2.5m Castle Hill Events Space and Linear Path project for Mid-Ulster District Council.

In the site inspections to date as part of our CCS registration, the CCS monitors have awarded our sites with ‘Beyond Compliance’ scores against the five key areas listed above in the Code of Considerate Practice. To underline our commitment to ‘Protecting the Environment’, MSM have set environmental targets in regard to fuel, water and electricity usage on site and we are delighted to say that all our environmental targets are being achieved.

If you would like to discuss any environmental or wider corporate responsibility issues with our company, please contact our SHEQ department by e-mail to sheq@msmcontracts.co.uk
