MSM Contracts were main contractor on the construction of a newbuild Centra retail unit & Circle K petrol filling station on a vacant site off the Carn Road, outside Portadown.
Key elements of the construction works included:
– Newbuild retail unit (GIFA 670m2) including external cold/freezer rooms & covered solid fuel store
– Structural steel-framed structure on piled foundations & RC ground beams
– KS1000 RW insulated roof covering & associated flashings; flat roofing
– External masonry cavity walling; self-coloured render; stone cladding & composite external timber effect wall cladding
– PPC aluminium curtain walling, windows & doors; roller shutters
– Internal fit-out of ’back-of-house’ areas with partial fit-out completed to shop areas ahead of Early Beneficial Occupation for the Client
– Construction of an ATM building
– Location & diversion of existing utility services traversing the site
– Installation of new underground tank farm, petrol interceptor & associated vents/pipework
– Installation of new underground attenuation tank & all drainage (storm & foul)
– Installation of new fuel pumps, HGV bunkering & associated pipework/electrical works
– Installation of new forecourt canopy
– Install new kerbs & islands
– Hard landscaping incl. paving & concrete slabs
– Fencing & bollards
